Monel Manifold Valves are generally manufactured from Monel 400 or Monel K500 alloys. Monel 400 consists of around Nickel 63%, Copper 28–34%, Iron 2.5%, Manganese 2%, Carbon 0.3%, and Silicon 0.5%. It has mechanical properties of tensile strength 550 MPa, yield strength 170 MPa, and elongation 35%. It has a density of 8.8 g/cm³ and a melting point of 1300–1350°C and also has good thermal conductivity. These valves are resistant to seawater corrosion, acids, and alkalis and are suitable for harsh chemical and marine environments, yet retaining structural integrity when under pressure.
