Super Duplex Needle Valves are made up of about 50-55% iron, 25-30% chromium, 3-5% nickel, 3-5% molybdenum, and trace amounts of nitrogen (0.1–0.3%) and tungsten. This alloy offers superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking and thus finds applications in tough environments. Mechanically, Super Duplex Needle Valves have high tensile strength of 800–1000 MPa and yield strength of approximately 550 MPa, with elongation of 25%. It has a density of 7.8 g/cm³ and performs consistently even under high temperatures, providing leak-free operation over long periods in critical applications.
