Monel Needle Valves, commonly made of Monel 400, are around Nickel (Ni) 63–70%, Copper (Cu) 28–34%, with trace amounts of Iron (Fe) up to 2.5%), Manganese (Mn) ≤2%), Silicon (Si) ≤0.5%), and Carbon (C) ≤0.3%). These valves provide tensile strength of 480–620 MPa, yield strength around 170 MPa, and elongation of 30–40%, besides having superior pitting and stress corrosion cracking resistance. 8.8 g/cm³ in density and 1300–1350°C in melting point, Monel needle valves are suitable for severe chemical and marine conditions because they are strong and resistant to corrosion.
