Hastelloy Needle Valves are mostly fabricated from Hastelloy C276 alloy, which consists of Nickel ~57%, Molybdenum 15–17%, Chromium 14.5–16.5%, Iron 4–7%, Tungsten 3–4.5%, and trace amounts like Cobalt <2.5%, Carbon <0.01%, and Silicon <0.08%. These valves possess superior mechanical properties with tensile strength of 690 MPa (min), yield strength of 283 MPa (min), and elongation of approximately 40–45%. They are physically characterized by a density of 8.89 g/cm³ and a melting point of 1370°C. Their superior chemical composition provides superior resistance to corrosion, pitting, and cracking in highly corrosive and fluctuating pressure conditions.
