Hastelloy Valves, particularly those composed of grade C22, consist of around 56% Nickel, 20–22.5% Chromium, 12.5–14.5% Molybdenum, 2–6% Iron, and 2.5–3.5% Tungsten. Other elements are Cobalt (up to 2.5%) and Manganese (up to 0.5%). These valves possess a tensile strength of about 690 MPa, yield strength of 283 MPa, and 45% elongation. The density is around 8.69 g/cm³, and the melting point is between 1350°C to 1400°C. Hastelloy valves show outstanding resistance to crevice corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking in reducing and oxidizing conditions and retaining structural integrity under high mechanical and thermal stress.
