Monel Check Valves, usually produced from Monel 400, are comprised of Nickel (Ni) 63–70% and Copper (Cu) 28–34%, along with minute amounts of Iron (Fe) up to 2.5%), Manganese (Mn) ≤2%), Silicon (Si) ≤0.5%), and Carbon (C) ≤0.3%). These valves have a tensile strength of 480–620 MPa, yield strength of approximately 170 MPa, and elongation of 30–40%. Their density is 8.8 g/cm³ and melting point of 1300–1350°C. Monel check valves show great mechanical integrity and resistance to corrosion in hard conditions, i.e., under seawater, acid surroundings, and temperature cycling.
